Energy Management & GHG emission reduction are more important every day. The Oil&Gas industry has embraced the transition into a low-carbon future. To reach this goal, international certification related to energy management, like ISO 50001, and international requirement, like EU ETS (European Union Emission Trading Scheme), must be achieved and fulfilled.
PI Aveva plays a winning role during verification process for a giant oilfield, giving quick, easy and user-friendly access to raw/aggregated data and KPIs, enabling energy saving formula exploited for certification. PI Aveva simplify and standardize daily, weekly & monthly reporting, which becomes easier, faster and transparent, avoiding human error and creating a strong archive. The presentation shows real examples of automatic daily reporting for specific CO2 emissions, fuel gas monitoring/comparison and energy intensity analysis. This approach represents the first step for plant troubleshooting and energy efficiency optimization

He completed his background with two Exchange Programs in TU Delft and NTNU, awarded with ENI scholarship.
After graduating, he joined Exxon Mobil as a field process engineer.
He moved to ENI E&P as production engineer in 2015, working on production/energy optimization, troubleshooting and development of field exploitation strategies, using advanced integrated simulation models, algorithms and big data analytics.
In 2018 he moved to Eni South-Italy BU, as deputy field manager of a giant onshore oilfield and production coordinator for the field general turn-around on 2021.
Currently he is the Plant Manager of the same giant brown oilfield.
Luca is also involved in the company Digital Transformation process as a digital advisor on field.
He is a member of SPE Italian Section Board in charge for the Southern Italy liaison.
