The PI Data Archive team has been hard at work on the next major release due in 2015. With this upcoming release, we will deliver a long-requested feature to handle data with future timestamps. We understand many of you couldn’t wait and are already leveraging future data with the PI System via a few workarounds of varying complexity. In this presentation, we will explain how this complexity goes away, and examine the use cases and applications – such as forecasting – that are more easily unlocked by having future data available natively throughout the PI System. In addition to technical explanations, we will perform live demonstrations of our near-Beta build and answer as many questions as possible. We’re looking forward to talking with you and gathering your feedback to ensure this release suits your needs.

Steve Kwan is a Product Manager for server products at OSIsoft, including the PI Data Archive, PI AF and Analytics. Prior to joining OSIsoft in 2010, Kwan spent 15 years in various roles in engineering, project management and product management with GE Energy. He holds a BS in Engineering Chemistry and a PhD in Materials.
