Track and Trace Extraordinary Results

Puma, the newest Klabin's pulp factory in Brazil started its operations with PI System. The use of data is transforming the way operators and managers do decision making and process analysis. The use of PI AF, Analytics, Notifications, Event Frames and PI Vision have made possible to innovate the visualization and the interpretation of data. In partnership with IHM Stefanini, several tools were developed to add value to the raw data. Traceability tool is an example that permit the users to track the products all over the process. Decision Making Aid helps coordinators to determine production pace, and Process Notifications avoid spurious trips to stop the factory production unnecessarily. Those are just some of the results that Klabin, IHM Stefanini and OSIsoft obtained due the use of PI System data.

Raquel holds a graduate degree in Pulp & Paper from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (Minas Gerais, Brazil, 2013) and a bachelor's degree in Information System from Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (Santa Catarina, Brazil, 2006). Currently she works at Klabin Pulp as Specialist, with experience in Industrial Automation and Instrumentation, emphasis in advanced controls through SDCD's, PLC's and Information Systems such as PI System and Braincube, which integrate sensors in the industry process and ERP's (SAP). Metrology, Instrumentation and Supervision Systems professor in Electrical Engineer and Industrial Engineer courses at Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (UNIPLAC).

Heli Junior Rabelo

Heli Rabelo is a Control and Automation Engineer, with sandwich graduation at UFMG (Belo Horizonte/Brazil) and BME (Budapest/Hungary). Has practice in development and integration of PIMS, specially PI System. Credited by OSIsoft with the PI System Architecture Specialist certificate, Heli also has experience in data analysis, modeling, optimization and process control.
