Beginning of 2018, after a short market analysis, it became clear that the market was lacking a state of the art OEE application fully leveraging on the capabilities of the OSIsoft PI System. End of March 2018, Actemium, together with a major Food & Beverage client, started working on an own developed OEE front-end tightly integrated with OSIsoft PI as the back-end. Leveraging on our years of DevOps and OSIsoft PI System experience, Actemium was able to deliver a state of the art OEE application fully leveraging on OSIsoft PI for the data, the asset model and the analytics. Today this application is being implemented as a pilot for a major Food & Beverage client.

Laurens Marijns is a Branch Manager for MES/MOM solutions at Actemium Belgium with a focus on Food & Beverage industries. He graduated as a Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering specialized in control systems engineering. After graduation he started working at Actemium as an Automation Engineer to continue his career as an IT Application Engineer, MES/MOM consultant and finally Branch Manager for MES/MOM solutions. Over these years he gained a lot of experience with OEE in various industries and on various levels including the automation, IT and business level.
