The current oil&gas market is characterised by high instability and low prices, leading to cost cutting and investments reduction. This scenario highlights the operating assets need to achieve maximum exploitation performance through optimization actions focused on the entire production system. In this context, the increasing availability of real-time data, stored with PI system, has been used together with an innovative integrated monitoring tool. This presentation reports the advanced methodology developed and the results of its application on a real giant oilfield asset. The project can be considered a novel approach to overall asset monitoring, simulation and support integrating different engineering disciplines with the huge amount of data provided by the DOF system. The methodology accounts for the monitoring of a giant oilfield and has been developed in order to work with real-time data, providing an on-line support to field management and operations optimization.
