Orlen Group has been a PI System user for nearly 20 years. The presentation will review the Net Power Generation Monitoring application that currently monitors Orlen's Power Plants in : Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic. The application is available for upper management to make conscious decisions about their business. They can readily see: marginal and variable cost of Production, Net Electricity Produced, Steam transferred to Orlen production facilities, and overall efficiency. Once any of the parameters drop, management can drill down into each power plant and look at detailed information which caused reduction of one of the KPI’s. For example, they can see plots of net electrical efficiency as a function of net electrical load, electrical load vs gas consumption or each plant’s EBIT by minute and hour.
