OSIsoft, Sharepoint, VBA Harmony to Advance Operational Troubleshooting (MHPS)
Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) is an industry leader in gas turbine technology. The MHPS Remote Monitoring Center (RMC) monitors gas turbines and steam turbines across the Americas, with a new undertaking into Total Plant Monitoring. The RMC uses the OSIsoft PI System to drive R&D, mitigate potential issues, and develop reports for customers.
The RMC leverages Asset Framework, Excel and VBA Macros, PI Data Link, and Sharepoint to create in house analytics tools to support 24HR monitoring. The RMC has developed solutions for analyzing start trends and monitoring slight shifts in trend changes. This systems allows for automatic inclusion when a new asset is added via AF and Sharepoint, and leverages triggers that have been linked in to Sharepoint entries created by operators. These tools minimize troubleshooting time to determine roots causes in startup trips, and provide early detection of potential issues that are within the tolerances of most predictive models.
