Getting DDC data into PI and using it for FDD and EA modeling (RoviSys)
This presentation will run through how to connect traditional DDC systems to PI, and what to do with the data once it is connected.
Specifically, RoviSys is developing a Tridium - PI connector that will be able to duplicate tag hierarchy and tagging from the lower level DDC system into AF so that organization of data doesn't have to be duplicated in PI.
Once the data is available, we will talk about how to organize into HVAC templates and apply analytics and event frames to the templates to help find opportunities for asset optimization, and drive down utility usage of equipment.

BS in Chemical Engineering with 20 years of experience with automation and software systems.
Worked as a process control engineer from 1998 - 2012, and part of my job responsibilities included configuring and deploying large PI historian servers for customers to ensure they had data archives of all of their important manufacturing KPIs.
As a founder of RoviSys' building technologies business, has been a part of expanding historian systems to collect from not just process control systems, but also from building automation systems and other sources.
Helping the BAS industry understand the importance of organizing/structuring data, via tagging or other means, so that it can be properly analyzed and made actionable. Specifically with HVAC data, has started a group at RoviSys to develop algorithms within PI to make the data tell a story about building performance, and to be actionable to help drive down utility usage and operational inefficiencies.

Craig sits on the North American Passive House Network Board of Directors. Craig is a founding member and Vice President of the Passive House Western Pennsylvania organization. Craig sits on the City of Pittsburgh Clean Tech Roundtable and P4 Performance Measures Committee. Craig is also a committee member with the AIA+2030 Committee on the Environment.
