Seeq is an advanced analytical application fully integrated with the PI Data Archive and PI Asset Framework. Seeq delivers a hybrid approach to analytics, easily combining first principals, statistics, and machine learning. Seeq’s approach brings self-service analytics for engineers and scientists, collaboration and knowledge capture for teams, and publishing and real time views for managers and operators. In this presentation Seeq will explain and demonstrate the value-adding analytical capabilities through 2 use cases: • Predictive maintenance of heat exchangers. This use leverages ML techniques to create heat exchanger fouling model. The model is used to optimize maintenance schedules. The asset-swapping capabilities of PI Asset Framework are leveraged to scale one model to many heat exchangers. • Reliability in Upstream O&G Equipment. Upstream oil collection systems have emergency shutdown systems to protect against damage. When the trip activates, rapid valve closure causes water hammering, which in turn cases mechanical damage to the system, vessels and/or cause relief valves or rupture disks to blow, with safety, reliability, and environmental impacts. The goal is to detect when it occurs, and eliminate the problem longer term. Both use cases will be presented via a live demonstration showing the creation of the analyses as well as the key visual elements such as histograms and unique trending.
